December and January Workshops

Plaster Puppets, Monday December 1 and 8. We will create puppets from a variety of plastic bottles, newspaper, plaster gauze, and decorative materials. Bring your plastic bottles and embellishments. On Thursday, December 11th, we will make and accessorize Wrap Dolls using fabric, yarn, sticks, and buttons. On Thursday, January 8, join us for another of our recycling workshops as we paint, embellish and carve discarded CDs. Finally, learn Quilting Basics on Thursday January 22 and 29.

All ArtWorks activities are open to beginners and many are child friendly. Look for a complete listing of ArtWorks activities on the Calendar page, where you can also register.

12/7 Art Exhibition at Inspiration Corporation's Cafe Too

We are pleased to partner with Inspiration Corporation's Cafe Too to present "Inspired Art Works," an exhibition showcasing the talent and vision of Uptown community artists. The exhibition presents an array of artistic styles, ranging from outsider art to crafts to traditional landscapes in acrylic on wood.

Opening reception is Sunday, December 7 from 4-7PM

Studio Artists' Show and Holiday Sale

Do some of your holiday shopping at ArtWorks: "Pretty Good Things We've Done So Far" celebrates our first year with work from 13 studio artists, demonstrating the diversity and unique talents of our growing community. Most works are for sale and are affordable, including a collection of scarves made by Sunday's Crochet and Knit Circle. The studio is open Sundays from 2-4 PM and Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 5-7:30 PM. Interested in a specific piece? Inquire at conatact@artworkscommunity.org.
